Industrial Engineering Club attended the 16th Engineering and Management Academy (MÜYAK) event

As the Industrial Engineering Club of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, we participated in the 16th Engineering and Management Academy (MÜYAK) event, prepared by the INDUSTRY AND EFFICIENCY Club operating in Eskişehir technical university. Approximately 1000 people from many universities and student clubs participated in the event, and our club provided the highest number of students (42) among them. The event was planned as two days (Saturday and Sunday), and many activities, conversations, training and personal development information were given throughout the event. In addition, students had the opportunity to listen to the success stories of the leading names in the sector. The event they prepared gave our students various experiences in many ways. We would like to thank our university and faculty management for helping us in this event, in which we participated with the transportation facilities of our university, and congratulate the club management.

Lecturer Nilgün İNCE Attended Model Factory Training

Lecturer Nilgün İnce participated in the Model Factory Trainer Training Program held in Ankara. Tubitak aims to train lean production consultants for SMEs within the scope of training model factories organized by TÜSSIDE and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). At the end of the trainings, 120 participants selected from among 2500 candidates throughout Turkey will be able to serve part-time and full-time within the model factories.

With Model Factories established in seven cities in Turkey, it is aimed to provide applied lean production and digitalization trainings to SMEs. It is planned to add new model factories in Ankara, Kayseri, Konya, Bursa, Mersin, Adana and Gaziantep and increase the efficiency of the existing production facilities of our country. In line with this goal, it is planned to train trainers by making eliminations according to case studies and competencies from those who want to be trainers for model factories. In this context, in the trainer trainings designed as three modules, the first module consists of the theoretical trainings held online, the second module consists of the consultant trainings held in Ankara and the third module consists of the practical trainings in the model factories where the participants are assigned.

Within the scope of the training held in Ankara, the participants received Effective Presentation Training from TRT announcer Acar Acartürk, Emotional Resilience Training from Şebnem Tezcan, and Meeting and Time Management training from Prof.Dr.Ünsal Sığır. They also visited the Ankara Model Factory and got information about the model factory operation. Trainee candidates who participated in the training from many parts of Turkey had the opportunity to get information about Model Factories, which is a new formation, by exchanging ideas to contribute to the model factory project, as well as theoretical and practical training.

It is planned to be held traditionally every year and this year “There is a Future in This Idea!” The final of the Entrepreneurship Contest, which set off with the slogan, was held at the ALKU Faculty of Business Conference Hall with the jury membership of Alanya's leading sector representatives. After the last applications were received on 31 December 2018, 10 projects that made it to the finals among 40 projects were presented to the jury by the students. The Success of Bilge Kaçmaz, Graduate of the Department of Industrial Engineering at ALKU in 2017

Bilge Kaçmaz, who graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering with the first place in 2017, succeeded in the “YLSY: Selection and Placement Exam for Candidates to be Sent Abroad for Postgraduate Education” provided by the Ministry of National Education and pursued a master's degree and doctorate with a scholarship in England. earned its right. Activities were organized with EMK in our department during Engineering Week

As part of the "Engineering Week" events held at ALKU Rafet Kayış Engineering Faculty between 4-8 December 2017, activities were organized with the contribution of our department and the EMK club. Our faculty member on 04.12.2017, Dr. Instructor Professor Sibel BAKBAK made a presentation titled "Industrial Engineering". “Movie Show: Revolution Cars” event was held on 05.12.2017. On 06.12.2017, our faculty member Dr. Instructor BEER GAME game was organized with the technical support of our member Hacer YUMURTACI AYDOĞMUŞ. In addition, on 07.12.2017, the ENGINEERING TABOU competition consisting of 300 words prepared by our ALKU EMK club was held, and our student friends experienced informative and fun-filled moments for two days. Our friends who won the taboo competition were given a participation award for the THY technical trip.

ALKU Industrial Engineering Department Student at YGA Summit

YGA; is an international non-governmental organization, it was established in 2000 in Türkiye. He dreams of leaving a better world for future generations. He realizes this dream by discovering the leaders of the future and raising them as leaders without me. While YGA Leaders dream, project and implement their leadership abilities together for a better world; they develop in life.

Over 50,000 university students from 200 universities apply to YGA every year. 50 people selected through a 5-stage interview; Consisting of senior managers, academicians, artists and scientists in the YGA Leadership Program, Prof. Aziz Sancar, Prof. Doğan Cüceloğlu, Ahmet Bozer, Prof. They receive more than 1,000 hours of training from YGA Dream Partners, which includes names such as Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı.

Our Industrial Engineering Department student, Nurselin SÜLLÜ, attended the YGA summit as one of the 2,000 people selected as a result of the exam, among approximately 50 thousand people as a result of her application to YGA. The evaluation process continues for our student's participation in the 50-person YGA leadership program.

Students Accepted to InovaTim Team Participated in Türkiye Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week Events

Founded by the Presidency of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), InovaTIM, with the aim of broadening the horizons of students and enabling them to look at life with a different vision, is a community formed by bringing together 2,000 outstanding students as a result of the exam held after 40,000 applicants from 150 universities. The evaluation of the applications is made by the team in the community and the evaluation period takes 2-3 months on average. If the first evaluation stage is positive as a result of the applications, the community, which subjects the students to the online exam, tries to measure the ability of practical thinking in this exam in a short time. Special events such as trainings, technical and abroad trips are organized for the members of the family of 2,000 people. In addition, InovaTİM members have the opportunity to meet with many businessmen or entrepreneurs during the events. In addition, InovaTİM students take an active role in the Türkiye Innovation Week activities that have been going on for 5 years. In case of any innovative project, InovaTim provides support by making students meet with both academicians and angel investors. Scholarships and internship opportunities are provided to the people in the InovaTim family, again according to certain conditions. InovaTİM members, who have been to 14 different countries to date, not only increase their experience, but also add value to exports with their contributions through bilateral meetings. The team, which aims to provide education to students on innovation, entrepreneurship, information age economy and project management, has been carrying out its studies regularly since 2011.

Graduate acceptance of our department graduates!

Among our Industrial Engineering graduates, Bilge KAÇMAZ, the first in the department, and the second in the department, Paşaçiçekdağ, were accepted to the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. Our students have the right to do an internship within the scope of Erasmus

One of our Industrial Engineering Department students, Merve Ceren TAŞKENT is in the marketing department of Dublin College of Advanced Studies in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, and DCAS, as it is known, within the scope of Erasmus project. Bilge KAÇMAZ is in the Grafton College of Management in Dublin as part of the Erasmus project. He started his internship in the marketing department of a company called Sciences. He will take part in the leadership project to be started in the company and will support the promotion of this project in Türkiye.

Our department gave its first graduates

Alanya Rafet Kayış Engineering Faculty gave its first graduates from the Industrial Engineering Department. Our department, which started its undergraduate education in September 2013, graduated its students in the 2016-2017 academic year.
