The project titled “Development of Image Processing Methods for Dimensional Measurement and Defect Detection in Deformable Textile Products”, in which Lecturer Dr. Nilgün İnce, a faculty member of our department, serves as a researcher, has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Program.

Within the scope of the project, studies will be conducted on the design of textile product quality control processes in a manner that minimizes the need for human intervention. The project, which will be carried out in collaboration with a mattress manufacturing company located in Kayseri, is planned to continue for one year.

The project is managed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akın Oktav, a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of our faculty, while the project advisor is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Öztimur Karadağ, a faculty member of the Department of Computer Engineering. Through this project, an artificial intelligence-based application for quality control processes will be developed.
