Successful Outcomes of TÜBİTAK 2209-A Projects

The project titled “Performance Analysis of Dispatching Rules: A Flow Shop Scheduling Problem Example”, which was supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program for the 2024–2025 period, was presented at an international academic conference. The findings of the project were presented at the 9th International Istanbul Modern Scientific Research Conference and subsequently published as a full-text conference paper.

The project was successfully completed following nine months of intensive work carried out by Industrial Engineering students Muhammed Mughrabi, Gizem Yaşar, Ayça Damla Bozkurt, and Computer Engineering student Burak Işık under the supervision of Lecturer Dr. Nilgün İnce.

The students involved in the project were invited to participate in the 21st Term Vision Camp Training Program organized by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Youth and Sports and the General Directorate of Youth Services. The program exclusively invites students who are either involved in TÜBİTAK 2209-A projects or ranked within the top 5000 in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS). The Vision Camp was held in Gölbaşı, Ankara, between 12–16 May 2026. Throughout the program, successful students from various disciplines were brought together in order to contribute to their academic, personal, and professional development.

As the only student accepted to the program from Antalya province, project coordinator Muhammed Mughrabi achieved a significant accomplishment by participating in the camp. During the program, participants had the opportunity to receive training in various fields including strategic planning, scientific research methods, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, psychological resilience, and personal development.

Within the scope of the training program, the following sessions were conducted:

  • Strategic Planning and SWOT Analysis in Business Life / Engin Yıldız
  • Scientific-Based Research / Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arsev Umur Aydınoğlu
  • Creative Drama Workshop / Psychological Counselor Emrah Şimşek
  • Cybersecurity / Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ali Süzen
  • Inspiration and Entrepreneurship Workshop / Yusuf Karaağaç
  • Psychological Resilience / Prof. Dr. A. Şebnem Soysal
  • Build Yourself Through Five-Dimensional Life Management / Hakan Şık

These training sessions contributed significantly to the multidimensional development of the participating students.

The Department of Industrial Engineering at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University continues to support students in actively participating in scientific research, project development, and academic advancement processes. We congratulate the project team and wish them continued success in their future academic and professional endeavors.
